Comment: The only advertising I saw in the movie was for Cars 2 on the billboard near the end. It stood out like a sore thumb, but I didn't mind it that much. I loved this film! My favorite Muppet has to be the Swedish Chef or Beaker.

Comment: I just saw it yesterday and...I LOVED IT! It was so much fun that I couldn't stop smiling! Well, aside from the really touching parts where I felt my heartstrings be pulled. But this was a wonderful movie! I've gotten so excited for this that I've been hunting for the old Muppet Show episodes on Youtube along with the Muppet babies episodes.

Comment: I too am a huge fan of the Muppets, but I'm more a fan of Jim Henson, and I think that this movie did not quite manage to capture the feeling of Jim Henson in my mind. It's a little better than "Muppets from Space," but in my opinion not nearly as good as "Muppet Treasure Island" or "A Muppet Christmas Carol." I don't really love the new songs as they don't seem to hold up well against the magical quality of the older songs, like "Rainbow Connection." Jim Henson as a filmmaker always had some kind of darker edge to his films that really made the stakes feel high, and this movie felt too "Disney" in my mind... there was something about it that just seemed to "easy"... also I don't think any of the original people who did the Muppets worked on it... not Frank Oz, and not Brian Henson... so to me it was too "Disney does the Muppets" than a true comeback for Jim Henson's Studio, and given the theme of the film as being the comeback of the Muppet Studio, that seemed rather ironic, sadly so... it is nice to see the characters again, but they seem different, kinda like the comeback Futurama made... without the old writers... the show just doesn't have the same heart. Also... the movie UHF did a vastly better take on the "We have to have a telethon to save our studio from the corrupt executive theme" I know nobody but me has seen this film, but I think it's rather underrated, and deserves a watch... anybody who likes Weird Al should certainly see UHF. :)

Comment: The big blue guy and the muppaphone guy you refer to, AniMat, are Thog and Marvin Suggs. Thog is actually the biggest Muppet character in Muppet history - at 9 1/2 ft. tall. And yes, that makes him bigger than Sweetums, and even Big Bird, Snuffy and Barkley from Sesame Street. Think of that!
