Comment: I miss 20th century Happy Meal toys. 21st century Happy Meal toys ruined Happy toys in America. I hate recent Happy Meal toys. I'm getting tired of gender/DreamWorks toys. Why Happy Meal toys repeat the same things over and over again? Happy Meal toys needs more standard promotions. Happy Meal toys only do gender/DreamWorks toys. Gender/DreamWorks toys ruined Happy Meal toys and it's annoying. Too many gender toys and DreamWorks ruined McDonald's Happy Meal's movie toys. Evey time a McDonald's toy goes by gender or DreamWorks, I want to bash Happy Meal for making toys that are either gender related or DreamWorks. I want my standard Happy Meal toys in general back. I had enough of gender toys and DreamWorks toys in McDonald's Happy Meal. I miss Disney's McDonald's Happy Meal promotion. Disney was a great McDonald's Happy Meal promotion. I wish McDonald's bring Disney promotions back someday. It's a shame that Disney and McDonald's split up in 2006 after a 10 year contract. Maybe the 25th anniversary of Disney's McDonald's promotions could make McDonald's go back to Disney sometime. Stupid gender toys and DreamWorks toys for ruining McDonald's Happy Meal toys.

Comment: Great video, Mr. Coat. I remember Happy Meal toys back then when Disney & McDonald's teamed up. Those we're awesome. It's too bad Disney & McDonald's spit up in 2006. No Happy Meal toys for recent Disney movies like Toy Story 3 and Tangled. But now, they're just opposite gender an DreamWorks. Why is McDonald's making so many opposite gender toys these days? There' way too much opposite gender toys. Opposite gender toys ruined Pokemon's first McDonald's Happy Meal appearance. I'm sick and tired of opposite gender toys. And why is McDonald's making DreamWorks toys? Seriously, Shrek The Third toys? DreamWorks ruined McDonald's movie toys. The recent Happy Meal CEO should have been fired. Happy Meal toys have lost their touch thanks to opposite gender and DreamWorks. McDonald's needs to make more movie toys rather than DreamWorks ones like The Smurfs. Anyway, great job, Mr. Coat. Keep up the good work. :)

Comment: I used to go to McDonald's as kid alot, nowadays I go there sparingly to avoid heart disease (mostly due to the fact I enjoy Subway since it's healthier).

Comment: I saw on youtube that in France when Rayman 2 was released they made a toy line to promote it mainly because the character was created by Michael Ancel who happens to be French and Ubisoft is based in France. Youtube it.

Comment: I remember the SEGA toys they released. They'd Super Monkey Ball, Sonic and more (I don't remember the rest) I never finished the set sadly.
I wish they'd do a set based off new games like Sonic Colours, Rayman Origins ect. It would be so cool! Japan did it with Pokemon Black/White versions earlier this year (why didn't we get it?!)

Comment: What I remember about Disney & McDonalds is going there w/a BIG group of kids, and all of us receiving THE SAME TOY... the dog CERBERUS from the "Hercules" movie, which ALL OF US thought was the worst toy of the bunch... I also remember going to get mini-beanie babies, but I hate the food, so we just paid for the toys and nothing else...
Also the guy who made many of the original sculptures and plastic models for Burger King toys used to be my next-door neighbor... I remember he did a really Kick-Ass large clay sculpture of Leela from Futurama, but I'm not sure what he did with it... and he let me make some creatures and cast them in plastic for me... I still have them!!! :)

Comment: @ 411314: The Anastasia toys were given out by Burger King. In addition to the toys that came with the Kids' Meals, there were also 4 larger toys that could be purchased separately. There was a train set (made to look like the train from the film), a stuffed Pooka, a stuffed talking Bartok, and an Anastasia doll.
Mr. Coat, regarding the little dragon whose origins you're unsure of, he's part of a collection of toys called the Dragonettes, which was released by McDonald's in Europe in 1992.
These bring back some memories. My first complete collection of McDonald's toys was actually the Animaniacs toys from the early '90s you showed. I also really liked the little "train" which was released to coincide with the Happy Meal's 15th anniversary. Each toy was a "car" featuring a character or toy which had been featured in McDonald's Happy Meals.

Comment: My family and I ate at many different fast food places when I was a kid, and I accumulated a great deal of those little toys. I even went to "parts trading night" at McDonald's to get my Inspector Gadget figure (which I still have) completely assembled. Then, when I got older, I learned how the meat, dairy, and egg industries tend to raise their animals and I became mostly vegan. I still have fond memories of this one McDonald's I used to go to that had video games and an indoor playground, though.
By the way, Mr. Coat, I seem to vaguely remember toys for the Don BLuth film "Anastasia". Do you know if it was McDonald's that gave those out?

Comment: That title card and you fooling around with the toys made me laugh. I remember a lot of those toys, wish I still had those. Thankfully I stayed in shape with the disturbing amount of Mcdonalds and Burger King toys I had. For the Inspector Gadget toy, I only had the water gun arm and the claw hand. I remember Burger King did have a toy similar to that with some cartoon called Cubix but it wasn't as big as Inspector Gadget's figure.

Comment: First of all, I think those were supposed to be McNuggets, not potatoes.
Secondly, what are your thoughts of the other fast food chains that put toys in their kids meals? Because places such as Burger King, Wendy's, Pizza Hut, Subway, & I think even Taco Bell did the same thing as well.
Mr. Coat: McDonald's was the only one I went to, when I was younger and I've since stopped going to such places. Never even set foot in a Burger King and Wendy's. I remember getting a toy at Pizza Hut, but I don't remember which one. Maybe a Snoopy one, not sure.Name: Annie
