Comment: About Tintin in the Congo, Herge himself regretted creating it. I saw the movie and it was awesome. Also, since you mentioned Babar, can you do a profile about that as well?

Comment: Great episode, facts were very accurate and i have been looking forward to a Tintin episode for 2 weeks.I recently got into Tintin thanks to Steven Spielberg and Peter Jackson.I first heard of Tintin in an episode of The Simpsons plus your mention of the cartoon on your show, which i watched on Youtube(it was really great show). I finally saw the movie with my dad on our vacation to New York(December 30,2011.I'll never forget it for the rest of my life i hope.) and My Dad,(knowing little of Tintin) enjoyed it and loved every minute of it.The best use of motion capture i have ever seen, fantastic action scenes and nearly flawless casting, particularly Jamie Bell,Daniel Craig and Andy Serkis,Who steals the show in my option.Haddock is probably my favorite character and Andy Serkis will always be Haddock to me like He was Gollum in The Lord of The Rings.

Comment: I got into the Tintin series recently, I enjoyed it! I own the Nelvana series on dvd, it was released to coincide with the film which is good but not as good as the series!

Comment: There's rumour around that the sequel will be in fact The Calculus Affair, as it is one of the more prominent Calculus adventures.
As for me, I think that if they don't adapt Tintin in Tibet into a film, it would seem like a missed opportunity, as it's, while probably not the most famous in the series, it's definitely the best.
Another point about Tintin is that it inspired many artists to go into the comic world, such as Garen Ewing, famous for the Rainbow Orchid series, and my own work.

Comment: As much as I love your reviews, Fellow, I must disagree with you on the Tintin animated series. Good GOD was he bland in the show! I felt the producers sucked out any sympathetic or emotional side to Tintin in the comics, and treated him as a one-dimensional means to keep the plot going. This seemed especially blatant when they didn't even capture Tintin's emotional reaction toward Chang in Tintin in Tibet and the Blue Lotus (shed a tear for your supposedly dead friend, dammit!).
But I thought the new movie DID give him more realistic personality. Tintin wasn't calm and sure of himself ALL the time. He was a young man, but faces some limitation since people treat him like a boy. At times, he got angry, he felt got frightened, he was even ready to give up toward the end! THAT'S a much more realistic young man personality as opposed to, say, a cousin of Nickelodeon's Doug. :)

Comment: I know that the recent movie may have a great story, but my hate for motion capture will never allow me to give money to Steven. My dollar-vote will go elsewhere.

Comment: I saw the movie opening day with my friend and while I thought that TinTin was a bit bland and Haddock seemed to be the real main character, I had an excellent time with it.

Comment: Every time I tell my family about Tintin, they thought I was talking about RIN Tintin.
I didn't like the art style of the franches(it reminds me too much of Doug), but the movies greatly makes up for it with it's excitment and humor.

Comment: I saw the movie in 3D and it was REALLY GREAT! Beyond expectations! The motion capture is astounding! Not only do the characters look like real human beings, but Weta Digital also worked in those cartoony facial features and other details from Herge's original comics. If you can, go see it in 3D! You'll be amazed from start to finish!

Comment: Also forgot to say this interesting fact-in the most recent season of the Amazing Race the teams were in Belgium and they had to dress up as Jonson and Johnson and figure out that they were dressed up as them as well as figure out who the guy dressed up as Tintin was (if you know what I mean).

Comment: I really really really really really really really really really really really really really really really wanna see the new Tintin movie! But there's 2 unfortunate things. It's only playing in 3D where I am and I have a feeling that it won't be out for that much longer. Also no one has time to take me to see it. :(

Comment: very good review. I loved the film, by the way although certain parts were changed from the original comic book.
