Episode 20:
DVD Talk with the Filmbuff: Terminator Salvation

One year ago, viewers were in great anger over old 'Buff's biased opinions on the fourth Terminator, which later became a domestic box-office flop. Now, he gets finally pumped to take on his worst nightmare, Terminator Salvation. Will it settle with his gut or will he reach the brink of insanity by this hunk of scrap metal?

Comment: To Adam Leen: Vaulting is a show I can do. I have a huge knowledge of films and tv shows ranging from the popular to the ones nobody heard of. It was something that got my interest and start into doing webshows. I wanted to show viewers and tell them these "lost gems." With DVD Talk, it was just me satirizing webshows in general while telling them which DVD to purchase, but I wasn't going really technical into it and it just seemed too "nostalgia Critic"-y and not greatly original. Plus, during my attempt to do another episode in Season 1 during the disappearence, I began to distance away from DVD reviews and wanted to do something different. Season 2 was just done to soften how it ended...even if it came to a quick close. Now, I don't have a chance to continue where I left off. It's too cramped in my room, equipment to record DVD B-Roll is getting difficult to capture, and I just feel that I lost all interest in reviving this series. I'm sorry, but sometimes we all have to move on.

Comment: To Joe: At this time, I doubt there to be another one. I've been so busy with my other show and there is too much to attend to in life. College, work, bills. You know the usual. After a long time trying to find a time to do the next review, I'm afraid it can't be. Looking back, my reviews were kinda biased considering how I was just looking at the movie and just special features, rather then the DVD as a whole from video quality to everything else. Besides, I do better reviewing movies and TV shows rather then a digtal medium and if I continued it, it would get too hetic to the point of which series to keep, drop both, or see which is funnier or what works better for both. However, this won't be the last you will see of my character. He is not offically killed off yet. There is something special I have planned in mind, but I can't give it away. For now, DVD Talk is sadly canceled...but this is just the beginning...

Comment: Personaly all the Terminater movies after the second one were unnecessary. All they did was said that the plot in the second movie was pointless, and I hated them for that. Also the Bluray verson that have the R rated verson of the movie I heard was aslo pointless because all it has is nudity. I'm so happy how classy Terminater has gone (Sarcastic moment). Also why is there a transformer in this movie?

Comment: Can't say. But I will promise that this isn't the final episode. There is way how I want to end the series, but I never intended to go on a downbeat or a sour note. There is another episode to come, but I'm still waiting on Mike for his material. It's going to be a while, but my goal is to have something out in July.

Comment: To me, the only necessary "Terminator" viewing is "The Terminator" and "T2". Everything is resolved in these two films, the only reason the franchise went on was because of, can I get a guess? Anyone? MONEY.

Comment: That has to be a tough one to answer. It has it's good moments and some of its bad times, but I see it as a timeline of its' own. To be fair, it just re-uses that whole plot thread of machine going back in time and just hammed it up with a female to disguse the unoriginality. It's unnessarry in my opinion but at least it tried to do something.

Comment: To Joe: I wanted to do something different from the reviews where they have a stage gun in thier presence to make it look like it's real when it happends to be a prop. Also, don't want Mom to think I have a gun about the house. This webseries or both of them are satires of the vids one would see on YouTube where some guy sits in a camera and rants about a movie or someone takes a toy weapon and treats it seriously. I was luckly to find the Zapper, so I use it. Plus, it's a toss back to Captain N. I know some viewers hate it, but to me it's a guilty pleasure.

Comment: To Pizza the Hut: Eh, Avatar is for enjoyment rather then something as good as Dawn of the Dead. I won't bash you for it. To Sarah: Didn't you see the "To Be Continued..." at the end? There should be another one coming this week...as soon as I can get Vaulting's NeverEnding Story 3 review out asap.

Comment: Great review, Morgan. This is my option but I did'nt like AVATAR. I know you are going to bash for saying that. I thought the characters were very bland. I understand that James Camerson wants to show a new world. Why can't he just a fake Biology film. BBC dose that all the time. Comment: To Logan (aka Hewy): I don't care. I still think this movie deserves to be shot and pullverised to a cube for the horror it is. And, The Filmbuff is dead...for now. To Joe: Originally, it was going to be The Times They'Re A Changing, however I wanted something more tragic but uplifting. Then again, I just choose it because it just fit the mood. I didn't want to end it on a down note considering how tragic the ending was.
