Comment: @Meg- Consider yourself lucky you were never exposed to the abomination that was the American dub of "The Magic Roundabout" (Or as America calls it, Doogal... that's not even how the main character's name is supposed to be spelt!) although, then again, I tend to pride myself on seeing just about every animated film ever made, so it's only natural, I'd see far worse than QFC. (Then again, I'm kinda biased toward that one as it is admittedly a guilty pleasure for me)

Comment: I LOVE CATS DONT DANCE!!!!!!!!!! its definatly my favorite wanner brothers movie along with the iron giant, mainly because cats are my favorite animals and i love musicals, every thing about this movie is brilliant the characters, the songs etc......, AND ITS WAY BETTER THAN QUEST FOR CAMELOT!!!!!!!!!!

Comment: I loved this movie as kid, as well as "The Iron Giant." Though it seems pretty stupid for a movie to bomb just because it wasn't merchandised. Most of the old films before that weren't merchandiced, yet they became big hits. Though, "Quest For Camelot" and "The Iron Giant" had merchandices (my brother still has his Iron Giant action figure and electronic coin bank). As for character of Darla Dimple, I do see resemblence of Shirley Temple (mostly the name is similar and the appearences) and Angelica Pickles (being an angel in the movies and to the critics and fans, but a spoiled bratty she-devil off-screan).

Comment: I think this film is quite underrated, especially the music. I really think it's some of Randy Newman's better music in terms of his career working on animated features. I think my favorite song in it is, "Our Time Has Come." It's so encouraging and fun! I also think the villain song "Big & Loud" is one of the best. I think the only problems I had with it is the overall premise is a little weak, and the first half of the script tends to lagg, and relies too much on bland Hollywood jokes.

Comment: Oh yeah! I love Cat's Don't Dance. Although somehow, I figure it out that it is not Disney, it still facinated me. I remember watcing it various times in the late 90s. And I did managed to record it one time when it was on Toon Disney back in 2001, and It was amazing! I agree that the songs and characters a great. This should be on TV more often now.

Comment: This movie is pretty good. It's definitely not the WORST animated movie I've ever seen (THAT unfortunate title has to go to Quest for Camelot, UGH!) And is it just me, or does the chick on the "King and I" poster look like she could be Belle from Beauty and the Beast's twin sister? (but then again, so does Kayley from Camelot)

Comment: @TJ: Are you kidding me? Chicken Little had no story, no effort in character development, and the script was nothing but an overabundance of anonymous pop culture references and random cliches after another. On top of that, it lead to other garbage mediums like High School Musical, Hanna Montana, and CGI films that were just mindless loud dick jokes like Space Chimps and Planet 51.

Comment: I miss Warner Bros. Animation studios! They were Disney's best rival! It's just Nintendo and Sega. When Sega stop making video game consoles. Microsoft became the new rival! I got noting against Dreamworks! But when I think of Disney's rival. I think of Warner Bros.

Comment: Darla Dimple is a homage to a COMPLETELY DIFFERENT character, a child actor star that I once saw on a commercial on a VHS copy of Anastasia. That child was even called similarly. The little girl starred in at least three color musicals in the 30's or somewhere around that period. That Fellow: I actually was referring to the actors that Dimple reminded me of, not who she was paying homage to.

Comment: I totaly disagree with you about Hercules to 100%! Its an action-comedy not an dramatic epic and the animation actuly adds to the mode of the storie and to the unicness of it(unlike outher Disney films that not even try to stick out amoung the rest).

Comment: To be fair, over the years I have grown to a slight dislike in this film. It tends to follow to close to being "Singing in the Rain" (rather than an homage), almost all the songs are just meh (sans Big and Loud and Saywer's Solo Number near the end of the 2nd act), and some moments feel like an embarassing slap to the face (I tend to shake my head at Danny's scat when they are filming for the first time. Pure unfunny). However, the plot is ok, the animation is acceptable, Don Knots and Manny (the elephant) is salvageable, and overall its ok but not a good one on my behalf. Desptie an original idea and good art direction, it can be annoying at points and stick out as Disney kiddie fare rather than something for adults to also enjoy. ranks 2 out of 5 on my meter. 'Nuff said.
