Comment: This is arguably the best defense of Crystal Skull I've ever seen. And yes, I too felt this was more enjoyable than Temple of Doom. But you forgot my favorite ridiculous complaint: Indy getting married. YES, someone actually complained about Indy getting married! I say it was about time he did!

Comment: I agree, Marion WAS the best leading lady of the Indiana Jones movies. And yeah, Cate Blanchett made an awesome villain. And I agree people need to stop bitching about the fridge scene...sure it's not true to life, but it's a movie, movies don't have to be true to life, that's why they're movies! Excellent review, Fellow!

Comment: What did you think of the south park Indiana Jones 4 parody and the scene where main characters react to the movie?

Comment: Honestly I liked Kingdom of the crystal skulls and for the reasons you stated in your video but I still put it at 4th in my favorite Indy films because of the following falts first as you said the visual effects where not impresive, I agree Ray Winstone's character could have been written out of the story but I would say the same about Jim Broadbent (you can't make a speach about government paranoia when Dr. Jones is triping over Russian spy's)
I did not mind the aliens my biggest problem was they were not creative looking (50's homage aliens I think green pointy ears & antennias)
I did not have aproblem with Mutt William accept that he felt to preproduction badass while Indiana Jones comes off as a badass natralilly.
P.S I wish they kept the original title

Comment: Thank you, Mr. Coat! I agree with just about everything you said, and I also liked the 4th better than "Temple of Doom". My ranking of the films is as follows: Last Crusade, Raiders, Crystal Skull, Temple of Doom

Comment: @Robert Larsson. If that were to happen in something like a drama, then that would be a perfectly good reason to complain. He is not saying that all films should be judged like that, He's just saying that films that are inspired by the ridiculously cheesy nature of the serials should be judged such as that. It's not like the Indiana Jones movies were ever meant to be taken seriously. They're kind of cheesy but they are aware of that and they're incredibly fun to watch. You just have to accept that some films, not all of them, can be good and nonsensical.

Comment: So since it is Indiana Jones stupid events can happen without critism? Thats just hypocritical. Why dont we se all films like that! To survive an atombomb explosion in a fridge is increadible stupid (just as stupid as if it was in the Transformers movies). Dont you think you was to fannboyish about this film (I have not seen it thought).
That Fellow: Well, I named some things in Indy IV that did bother me, so I wasn't too nice to the film. However, while there is a line of ridiculous that Indy could cross, I don't think he's reached it yet. If he was shown fighting aliens in space like something out of Moonraker, that would be too much. But, him surviving a nuclear blast in a fridge felt right at home in Indiana Jones' universe, for me.Name: Keshia

Comment: I agree! I loved the movie too. And it's not beacsue of the same reason of Shia LaBauf fangirls, but because I like the Indiana Jones movies.

Comment: Will Mars still be in title cards?
He's cute.
That Fellow: Depends entirely on whether Iain feels she's appropriate for the card, I guess. Since the past month was entirely alien-themed, it makes sense for her to be in the cards.Name: Park

Comment: I would add that there is the ancient astronaut theory, the belief that aliens were the bringers of civilization. It still keeps with the archaeology theme as far as I was concerned

Comment: The 4th film was MORE ridiculous than the first 3.
The original films were NOT b-movies themselves, regardless what they were supposed to be referencing.
And, you are more likely to survive a fall from a plane on a raft, than a nuclear bomb, while hiding in teh fridge.
All in all, George and Steven gone crazy.
I don't mind aliens at all. Just... if the STUPID PARTS were not included, I would have liked Kingdom of The Chrystal Skull more than I do.

Comment: Agree with almost everything you Said! I roll my eyes when i people forgetting what the whole point of Indiana Jones was! You, James Rolfe and Sean Mclean of Zaranyzerak fame seem to be the only ones on the internet who get it!

Comment: I've been waiting for this review to come out for a while :P You had solid, well-prepared arguments and I can see where you're coming from on all the enjoyable and well-done aspects of this movie. (And for the record, I do not hate this movie and enjoyed it. I will always love Indy, including The Crystal Skull movie).
I think the disappointment for me was...yes, the aliens ending. To me, the movie seemed like it was leading up to a twist ending where there would end up being a different explanation than aliens. It was disappointed me more than it angered me.
Other than that, great arguments that were all warranted and well thought out.
Also, I'm curious. Did my Indiana Jones: Temple of Doom review give you the idea to make this video? Of course, maybe it's just my big head.
That Fellow: It was more the constant criticisms I've heard about it over the years that made me want to make the video.Name: Robbins
