Comment: Can you do a review/look-back on Marsupilami (if ever heard of him)?

Comment: It might interest you to know that the voice actor who played Dennis in the 1996 UK series was called Richard Pearce. He played the voice of Tintin in the Adventures of Tintin Radio adaptation in 1992. The same radio show also starred Andrew Sachs, famous for playing Manuel in Fawlty Towers, as the voice of Snowy.

Comment: I never knew there was a British version of Dennis the Menace! I grew up reading the US version, so naturally I prefer that Dennis, but the British Dennis sounds pretty cool, too!

Comment: Well to be frank, this always was one of those franchises that I was lucky to learn about at a young age, largely because Nickelodeon back in the 80's reran the 50's sitcom which I actually was entertained by. The movie I never liked. And then British Dennis I am not familiar with, and from what it looks like it is rather hilarious and I have to say that it's less idealistic over the American version. But I don't know, the American Dennis retains my respect since I was raised on that version.

Comment: I like both the British and Amercian Dennis. The American Dennis is a charming young man, and the British Dennis is officical has the personality of the "Missing Warner Sibling" (Animaniacs reference).

Comment: I loved the 1993 version of Dennis the Menace! I also prefer the American version because he's the only one I knew existed.

Comment: I like that the Brittish Dennis (who I, to be frank, didn't know about before this video) is a bit of a punk. He's got the hair allright, but also the anti-authority and taste for anarchy that, like you said, spread up among the youth born after WW2. I can clearly see how the kids who grew up with Dennis became the english rebellious punkrockers like Sex Pistols, Crass, Addicts, Wire, Ruts and the Clash (Note: I don't know if any members of these bands read Dennis, but I guess it's a safe bet).

Comment: Many people say that Dennis the Menace was like the pre-cursor to Bart Simpson, don't you agree?
That Fellow: I can see that, especially in the episode where he annoys George Bush. Though I wouldn't be surprised if the Simpsons writer were also familiar with UK Dennis as well.Name: Devon
