Comment: I didn't like "An American Tail" when I was a kid b/c the big thing they use to scare off the cats at the end really freaked me out... I still get chills looking at it... mostly b/c it's so... freakish... there isn't a creature w/a head that looks like that... and it's unsettling...
I like both "Oliver and Co." and "The Land Before Time"... however "The Land Before Time" really is the better film, and while I love the song "Why Should I Worry" as it is fun and catchy... "If We Hold on Together" may just be my favorite song... and that's not just including songs from movies...

Comment: I love The Great Mouse Detective, Oliver and Company, and The Rescuers Down Under. Well, The Great Mouse Detective took some time, but I enjoyed it anyway. As for Oliver and Company, I rarely saw it when I was young, but this became the first movie I ever seen in a movie theatre back in 1996. It is a great movie. I still like it now. For The Rescuers Down Under, I remember seeing it a long time ago. And I thought it was magnificent. Now, for The Little Mermaid, I've finally liked this movie. And I liked it's sequel and prequel as well. It is a great movie. Now, my only favorite Don Bluth movie when I was young was The Land Before Time. I loved it so much that I even saw it's sequels. Also, I've watched An American Tail and All Dogs Go To Heaven 1 and 2 as my new favorites as well.

Comment: I STILL can't believe "An American Tail" outgrossed "The Great Mouse Detective!" I've never SEEN "Tail," but my boyfriend who HAS seen it said it was CRAP and that he wanted to strangle Fievel by the end of the movie. But that's just ONE man's opinion, I guess.

Comment: You know something? You're right, Robert. I find The Great Mouse Detective to be such an under-appreciated film and I really should have talked a bit more about it, but oh well.

Comment: excuse me but I dont think you give "The Great Mouse detektiv" the atention it deserves. Basil is a likebull hero and Olivia is a very strong female carachter. Ratigan is one of the most complex villains in a disney movie than he actuly hate his own existens of being a rat. The movie is also a rare time when it actuly explore the comfrontation between the hero & the villain (Ratigan & Basil always try come one step ahead infront of the outher). The friendship between Basil & Dawson is also very well developt. I know that you never said anything bad about the movie but I just think that the movie deserves mutch more credit!

Comment: The supposed "SEX" in The Lion King is actually "SFX", which stands for Sound Effects.
And the priest in The Little Mermaid doesn't have an erection. Those are his knees. It's confirmed in a later shot when the birds are charging towards Ursula.

Comment: At 10:27, one of the fish is Little Richard.
At 10:32, there's a stereotypical black fish with big red lips.
Just thought those would be interesting Easter Eggs, like the other supposed and real Easter Eggs in Disney films, such as the topless woman in The Rescuers (confirmed), the stars spelling the word "SEX" in The Lion King (unconfirmed), and also from The Little Mermaid, the priest's boner when Ursula disguises herself as an attractive woman (unconfirmed but sure looks like it's true).
Disney is still awesome despite those foolish mistakes.

Comment: Yeah, I felt I needed a change and I also didn't wanted to be kept in the same routine. But, as a nod to the first couple of seasons, I have the coat hanging in the background.
I'm going to be discussing this all the way up to Disney's Bolt. I won't be discussing the Pixar-created films like Wall-E, though. I just mentioned them here, because they play a major role later on.
