Comment: The seuss adaptations:
The Grinch:I loved it my whole family did because it was so funny and I like it as much as the animated Christmas special.
The Cat in the Hat: I liked it but I didn't really like those inappropriate jokes because kids are watching and they could copy those lines and it could get pretty bad.
Horton Hears a Who: Hoeton hears a who was amazing I loved that part when the needle jabs on the mayor's arm, when horton swallowed the leaf bug and other funny parts like that lol
When the lorax comes out in theatres I want to see it because I'm sure it will be good.

Comment: OK, no you're not the only one who thinks the anime is random in Horton Hears a Who. Honestly, I think they came up with that part right after exiting a Japenese comic shop. However, it does sort-of make up for the years of deprived zanyness from the 80s, with one, unexcpected, and random chunk in a motion picture film. Although, the slam at the live action Cat in the Hat is not to deserving. When comparing in to the original book, it is a poor adaptation with hardly any elements and a seemingly unneeded antagonist. Though my family never really read or don't remember the original book and same with the cartoon shorts, so we saw it as a regular movie, and it was really decent and funny. But, hey, I'm not that old, still in high school, grew up with computer animation and vhs realeases so, hey, what's my opinion.

Comment: He was army buddies w/many of the Termite Terrace guys... that's how all those animated Dr. Seuss things came to be...
I disagree, I think recent "Horton Hears a Who" movie by Blue Sky sucked... I'll take the old hand drawn shorts.
I'll put in my word for a Chuck Jones tribute!!!
My favorite of his books was "If I Ran the Zoo."
I actually saw the live action "Cat in the Hat" IT WAS AWFUL!!!

Comment: Yay, I love Dr. Seuss! My parents read his books to me and my siblings when we were little, my older brother and his wife read his books to their kids, and I plan on reading his books to MY kids when I have them. However, I was not too thrilled with the modern-day movies based on his books. I agree, the anime scene in "Horton" DID completely come out of nowhere!

Comment: Speaking of Horton Hears a Who, why not do a look back at Blue Sky Animation? Their films may not be as recognizable as Pixar or Dreamworks, but they've all become box office hits.
By the way, were the voices in the audio track of Green Eggs and Ham done by Paul Winchell?
That Fellow: The thing is Blue Sky hasn't done much. Their only features are the Ice Ages, Robots and Horton. As for the voice on the audio cassette I used, I don't know who it is. Sorry.Name: Peter

Comment: What did you think of that Ralph Bakshi Cartoon based on The Butter Battle Book?
That Fellow: It's been a long time, since I've seen it, but I remember liking it. Apparently, Dr Seuss himself loved the short.
