Comment: I gave a look at a couple of episodes of this show. I was actually rather impressed! I'm thinking about giving the whole show a look!

Comment: I completely agree with you about "Firefly", Fellow! That should never have been canceled! Fox seems to have a long history of not treating its shows well. And yet, when Whedon made "Dollhouse", he want back to Fox again! Why? I don't get it! By the way, did you know Whedon's directing an Avengers movie? Anyway, I loved how you used that "Big Bang Theory" clip at the end!
Could you do an episode about "My So-Called Life" sometime? That's another brilliant show that was canceled long before it should have been!

Comment: REPLY TO BELOW: I looked that series up, from what I saw the Buffy animation fell victim to changing times. But I don't know, Buffy had a youthful audience to begin with and if not for Fox Kids going away that factor would have given animated Buffy potential. Firefly on the other hand appeals to a wider age demographic, and the problem there is that younger viewers could naturally love an animated series but the grown-up fans 35 and older may not be willing to accept it, but I think largely because they would compare it to what they are familiar with and it probably wouldn't feel the same way to them.

Comment: That was a very good analysis of the show. Personally I think the episode that deserved the most highlight was when River cut Jayne with a weapon and they had to go to the central planets to get help, but then Jayne decides to report Simon and River out of spite, ignorantly backstabbing Malcolm. That of any episode was the most important because it really tested the character relationships. As far as Firefly being an animated series, I don't think that's a good idea because even with all the grown-up animation out there these days there are still many who view the medium as something for kids and would cause grown-ups to be turned off by the franchise. And if age 8 and up was the target audience the series would be modified to be more kid friendly and probably see some of the characters replaced for political correctness, if you really think hard about how the business works.
That Fellow: Well, the main reason I said that a Firefly animated series was unlikely is that Whedon had previously attempted to get a Buffy animated series made, but no network was interested in an adult action-oriented animated series. So, I would imagine history would repeat itself, especially with something as cultish as Firefly.Name: larry

Comment: That Fellow In The Browncoat? That's your new name?
That Fellow: Nah, my new name will be revealed at the end of this month. I just named myself that for this video in reference to how "Firefly" fans are called Browncoats.
