Comment: I'd have to agree. Bambi 2 was actually well-done for a DTV midquel. Especially with the brilliant voice of Patrick "Captain Jean-Luc Picard" Stewart as Bambi's father. I couldn't think of a better choice myself. I also heard that Cinderella 3 almost got a PG rating for some mild violence! WOW!

I really kinda hated "Bambi II" which should have been called Bambi 1 1/2 if they were following their previous title convention... as a rule I'm not fond of midquels... and I felt this one was REALLY disappointing... if you want to know more about Bambi I suggest reading the books. YES! The movie was based on a series of books. The only good parts of the Cinderella sequels were the parts w/Anastasia, but overall they were both totally pointless so... yeah...

Comment: Speaking of the Lilo and Stitch sequel, did you see the TV movie, Leroy and Stitch? To me, that should have been the direct-to-video sequel as it was much more well-done, even if it was basically the final episode of the series.

Comment: I agree with you. When I watched "Lilo and Stitch 2" years back, I too thought it was a good, but forgettable, diversion. "Bambi II" did a nice job of creating a gap between the mother's death and the buzz killing love birds without tea-bagging the early film as much as say "The Enchanted Christmas" did. "Cinderella III" I thought was okay, but I agree with the fact that the creators forgot what made the Stepmother so terrifying.

Comment: I'm sorry, but I still stand on the platform of Disney DTV sequels SUCK, and I'm glad they put the kibosh (did I spell that right?) on them. However, I agree that David Ogden Stiers got the best lines in Lilo & Stitch 2. And the animation in Bambi 2 was AMAZING. Cinderella 3, on the other hand, had no redeeming qualities, but Tress MacNeille DID do a pretty good job as Anastasia. I mean, who DOESN'T want to hear Dot Warner as a Disney semi-princess?
