Comment: My own personal favorite is "The Music Man" and I mean the original... not the re-make... probably followed by "Dr. Dolittle" also the original... and by that I mean the one starring Rex Harrison from 1967... and then "Singing in the Rain" I'm wouldn't include anything Disney in my list just b/c I could go on and on about those movies and so many of them would qualify as Musicals... but on Disney... I like The Lion King better than Beauty and the Beast, so it would be #1, and Beauty and the Beast at #2... but if we're talking animated musicals in general then; 1. Lion King 2. The Phantom Tollbooth 3. Beauty & the Beast AWWW... I LOVE SPAMALOT!!! I'm so glad I got to see it!!! My mom took me when it was in LA... and I JUST LOVED how they ended it w/ "Always Look on the Bright Side of Life" even though some people I guess didn't like that it strayed from the movie... if they wanted to see the movie again I say they should have stayed home and WATCHED THE MOVIE... Interesting choices...

Comment: HELL yeah! Not only is Beauty and the Beast an awesome musical, it's my favorite Disney movie of all-time! And did you ever notice that Nathan Lane and Matthew Broderick were in both "The Lion King" and "The Producers" together? Shame they didn't have Broderick sing in TLK.

Comment: Yes, I have seen the original Little Shop of Horrors. It's pretty good by B-movie standards, especially for one shot for only a couple of days. But, I vastly prefer the musical.

Comment: OH others I forgot to mention that I'll probobaly kill my self if I dont mention XD are godspell, phantom of the opera, cats, les misreable, and this one comedy musical thats not too well known called [title of show],yes thats the name of it [title of show] and its so hillarious, look up the song secondary characters XD it's so funny, and the show is hard to explain it's basically about these 2 guys in new york who need to make a show for this film contest thing cuz they need money and the show-within-the-show is the actuall show, so basicaly the show is about the making of its self which makes it really funny XD

Comment: Although I agree with most of your list, I believe you are missing out on some great musicals. Such as, Grease, Rent, We Will Rock You and The Buddy Holly Story. And Eoghan, Rocky Horror was a good musical when it came to the music...but other then the music it was pretty bad.
