Comment: I really hate the prequels mostly b/c they totally fail to do what I felt they should have done: EXPLAIN ANAKIN'S TURN TO THE DARK SIDE... instead we get: Ep1: Anakin is a perfect little Angel Ep2: Anakin is suddenly a total jerk Ep3: Anakin is paranoid to the point of insanity, and does all the wrong things I don't get it... when did he lose his mind? We never got to see him have a transformation. He just appears as a slightly different character in each film. We never know why... he just does. If/when there is explanation of this it is weak and often contradicts the canon... and that's why I hate the prequels... PUPPETS FOREVER!!! I can't watch Ep. 3 w/out cringing b/c of the "Anakin Syndrome Scene" ... you know... the one where he joins Palpatine after Palpatine kills Mace Windu... and even though you guys think Ep. 3 is the best of the prequels I think it's the worst... mostly b/c the WHOLE MOVIE HINGES ON THIS SCENE, WHICH I HATE!!! The only think I like about the prequels... Ewan McGreggor... I also HATE the lava fight... I HATE use of lava in almost any movie b/c it's just SILLY... unless Jedi are immune to heat or something they should be dead just by standing near that lava for any length of time... I could go on, but in my mind Ep. 3 is the worst b/c it is the most nonsensical. I cannot forgive nonsense unless it is purposeful nonsense. I don't forgive for this... I'd rather just ignore the prequels and come up with my own story...

Comment: To That Fellow:Well,(sorry for reapeating myself.) What did you think of the Famliy Guy and Robot Chicken Star Wars Parodies? That Fellow: I really like the Robot Chicken parodies. The first Star Wars Family Guy parody was solid, but I didn't think the Empire one was as good.

Comment: i hate the first 2 prequel films. i think they are abominations of cinema and embarrassments to the star wars name. episode 3 on the other hand is an oustanding film which in my opinion is almost as good as return of the jedi and thats saying a lot. return of the jedi was the worst out of the original trilogy, but it was still a fantastic film. sure the dialogue in episode 3 was bad in some spots, but it was only for like a minute. Christensen in my opinion improved his acting a lot from episode 2 and Mcgregor's performance was outstanding. but Ian Mcdiarmid was the actor who stole the show. his powerful performance stepped the movie up a notch. this is just my opinion so feel free to disagree.

Comment: I think you should review the spin-offs. Only see the ewoks cartoon (which is okay in my point of view) and Star Wars Holiday special ( worst Star Wars spin-off ever, despite my usual find positives in anything star Wars) I really Highly recomend seeing The clone wars shows and didn't you see my comments on your rant on modern cartoons. They are both better than episodes 1 and 2 and are oneof the best TV shows to come out of the 2000s next Avatar: the Last Airbender.

Comment: @Boxohobo "They were my first introduction to the series and actually made me interested in the originals." And here is the problem. You saw them first and so for you the whole saga was one big improvement (Every subsequent movie was better than its predecessor). If you saw the original trilogy first, you would realize how much of a letdown the prequels are. Oh and yeah - Jar Jar isn't funny. He's goddamn annoying.

Comment: Why do people hate the prequels so much? They were my first interduction to the series and actually made me interested in the originals. and is JarJar Binks REALLY that bad? I found him funny.

Comment: To That Fellow:Thanks of giving some credit to the prequels.Unlike The Distressed Watcher who over bashed them to death and even f-bombed it who I really am mad at him more than you bash Willy Wonka and that because He bashed Episode 3, Which I thought captured more of the charm of original movies with a touch of Shakespearean tragedy . P. S. The only thing Star Wars that deserved to be bashed(and by Nostalgia Critic) was The (ever infamous) Star Wars Holiday Special and George Lucas himself is ashamed of it more the prequels or even Howard The Duck. It only had one positive to me and yes its Boba Fett debut and plus I could 5 positive things about the prequels more than the special. P.S. Is The Radical reviewer really russian or doing an impression of Pavel Chekov from Star Trek And will you review the spin-offs of Star Wars? And to Horror corner: I thought the cg Yoda Kicked butt in that awesome fight scene That Fellow: Probably won't review the spin-offs. To be honest, the only Star Wars-related things I've watched are those six films. I have never seen the Clone Wars animated series or the Ewok specials or the holiday special.

Comment: I agree with the Horror Corner guy. I enjoyed Phantom Menace, but I HATED Attack of the Clones! It was slow, too long, Anikan was a whiny overgrown child, and ending was a huge letdown.

Comment: Correction to my post, Luke didn't kill Palpatine but his success in saving his father from darkness is what brought Palpatine to his death, as Vader killed him. Ugh, wrote too fast.

Comment: Okay, JC7 has his thoughts, would it surprise you by now. To say the least, Phantom Menace wasn't great but hey, the whole thing had to start somewhere. I even confused Qui Gon for Obi Won when I first watched it. But I don't know, I don't see why you need too many hints that little Anakin grows up to be Vader, I think Yoda and Mace Windu's concerns about his fearfulness are enough to suggest what becomes of him since Qui Gon refuses to return him to his mother. Jar Jar sucked (one word says it all), in fact for Lucas to make him the reason that Palpatine was appointed to his position is insult to injury, it would have been better for him to think of something else considering people's thoughts on the character. And you are right about the angsty emo Anakin, if I'm going to remember one scene from Attack of the Clones, it was his bitchy rant of the sand people at the home of Owen and Beru. "It's all Obi Won's fault!" "I killed them, not just the men, but the women and the children too!" "I HATE THEM ALL!!" Fortunately Revenge of the Sith does tie things together at the end, and I even liked the death of Count Duku to start it off. IMO he is the weakest villain I have ever seen in any media, it's obvoius he was just there for covering Palpatine. And the relationship between Palp and Annie was developed good. And considering what happened to his mother it made perfect sense that he wanted to protect Padme by whatever means, and to find his visions to be a result of his own bidding also made sense for the existence of the Death Star, so named in that he can stop anyone from getting in his way before they even have the chance to become stronger. Still, when you watch New Hope immediately following it becomes apparent that the prequel was nothing more than a mere back story. Luke is the end hero, he kills Palpatine and saves his father from the fate he could have had while everyone else does their part. There could have been a better way to interpret I, II, and III, but the fact that IV, V, and VI were made first is the real reason why people still like Star Wars even after these were made. If the prequels were the first half of movies made, people would grow tired by the time the story mover over to Luke. Of course with 70's special effect capabilities, I think Phantom Menace would have ended up not only as the worst movie of 1977 but as the only Star Wars movie made. Thankfulness is a virtue here.

Comment: Great job, Mr.Coat. Will you talk about Dave Filoni (the director of Star Wars: The Clone Wars) in your next video? http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dave_Filoni That Fellow: Sorry, I've never seen the Clone Wars animated series. Next week, the series will return to normal as I will be talking about Spider-Man.

Comment: I thought "Phantom Menace" was okay for what it ultimately was. I think one of the reasons why both this and "Attack of the Clones" aren't appreciated all that well was because "Phantom Menace" was George's first directorial duty since "A New Hope" and I guess he since gotten so used to being an executive producer to other films, his return to directing would be a little sketchy. Also, I now think that the reveal of "Leia is Luke's sister" in "Return of the Jedi" is kind of like a foreshadow to the "midi-chlorians" and all the other plot holes in "Phantom Menace". About Jar Jar, there's actually some people out there who do enjoy his annoyance, including Frank Oz who loves the character (as he openly stated in the DVD commentary on "Robot Chicken: Star Wars 2".) No offense to Radical Reviewer, Kenny Farino, and Sonicguru, but I felt That Fellow's opinions were more open-minded and interesting. Radical and Ken's opinions felt like crowd following re-hashes of what Star Wars fans have already popularly said about the prequels.
