Comment: If you have seen Spider-Man: Turn Off the Dark. You would regret!!!! It is an abomination to musicals and comic book adaptations ever!!! They took two things I love and destroyed it!!! I thought The Last Airbender or Batman And Robin would not top it,its so bad. It was not worth the budget or the injuries by the stuntmen. who cares if some songs by Bono and The Edge that are good and Patrick Page is a good green goblin. The story is poorly adapted and rips Spider-Man Noir and Wonder Woman mythology. Some Jerk with a camera warned me and i agreed with what he said. Now if you'll excuse me i need to watch real good spider man on netflix.

Comment: I have only really seen Spectacular Spiderman (which I liked a great deal.)I have always liked the character though. Nice look at him. I also have a request; could you possibly look at the Milestone series Static? It is very similar to Spigerman, but I watched the TV show when I was younger, and I really love it. You don't have too, since you probably have tons of things to do already, but if you do have time, I'd be very happy to hear you're thoughts on it.

Comment: Actually, in the original comic Peter BUILT the web shooters. He didn't have that as a super power... it was more of a Batman-esque gadet thing... I don't see why we need any more Spiderman movies... It's too bad that new TV show got cancelled... sounded kinda good...

Comment: You know its weird that new animated spider-man (2002 series) is almost identical to that stupid CG Iron Man series that poorly executed its source material than 1990's spider-man cartoon. (which I thought was at least descent and entertaining) And you don't how much wish marvel would make an animated series more like Batman: The Animated Series(no at this point have not seen the X-men series but did here a lot of praise including from you) . Now days with what they show on (other then Star Wars The Clone Wars)wouldn't you wish for almost the same thing?

Comment: The Fox cartoon was actually pretty good! You were a little too hard on the show. The characters were interesting and they got a lot of the villains and allies that were in the comics. There were some good storylines and other characters had some decent roles in Spider-Man's battles with the villains. The only thing that I had an issue with was not understanding when Spider-Man was talking to the audience and not just himself...

Comment: A Roger Corman Spider-Man? Now thats something I'd pay to see! yes, i wouldn't mind seeing a reboot as well. Maybe taking more time with developing the story? One movie he's in highschool, next in college, next he a man! At least 2 highschool ones would of been nice. Thanks for a terrific video. Saw no problems with it, and laughed a little too.

Comment: Also I have a complaint about Spectacular Spider-Man,I really disliked the character designs. Why couldn't they just try to make the show look more like the Batman/superman animated style by Bruce Timm? Or like the old Spider-Man cartoon where they tried to mimic John Romita's and/or Steve Ditko's drawing style

Comment: YES! Spider-Man, my alltime favorite superhero. Glad you finally did a profile on him. Some parts where I disagree with you though. One, the 90's series was still good but you're right, it could have been SO much better if it weren't for those DAMN fox Censors. >=( Secondly, I had my issues with the Ramimi movies, though I enjoyed the first two. The biggest flaw for me were Peter and Mary Jane. Spider-Man lacked one of the things I love so much about him: He weren't cracking jokes. I think he said one or two in the first film. Way too few. When Spidey battles a villain he keeps his mouth going with smart comments all the time. And Mary Jane was to far away from her original version. Were was the sparky kick-ass redhead that both Peter and Millions of fans love? Anyway, the two first movies were good and I look forward to the reboot. Until then, I got the comics. =)

Comment: I've never read the Spider-Man comic books, but I've seen bits of the movies and some episodes of the various series, and from what I can tell he seems like a very relatible superhero because he is a teenager and thus the issues he goes through of growing up are the same issues many of us have been through.

Comment: I'll at least watch the trailer for the new Spiderman movie, but the problem I have with rebooting so soon is exactly that... it's TOO soon. I graduated high school when the first one came out. I should be at least thirty before a remake comes about.

Comment: You forgot that spider-man does not shot webs with powers, its only in the movies(later in the main comics it was added.)It was done with a machine.

Comment: I would say of all the incarnations of the Spider-Man comic, the movies have done it the best. They picked the right actors to portray the characters and the villains they used were superb. I have all three of them on DVD, and fortunately my dad doesn't watch them over and over which means I still like them. I don't have a favorite of the three movies, but I do feel though that the third movie could have been written better. I also feel like the tension with Mary Jane also reached it's end, and the events of the last movie I think would be enough for her to move to Seattle and reboot her life. That's a good idea, and have Peter hook up with Gwen. Now I have to say, I think you are being hard on the 90's cartoon that was on Fox. The way I see it censors have always been a part of the children's television landscape and in that respect sometimes it's better to remember cartoons of that time as childhood memories if you were young enough to like it. The people who own the franchise often have to look at it this way: as long as the cartoon is there, then the kids should also become interested the comic book, bottom line $$$. And hey, at least it's better looking than the 60's cartoon. But curious, have you ever seen Spider-Man and his Amazing Friends? That was an 80's cartoon on NBC. And if you think the live action show they had in the late 70's was bad, maybe you should to a YouTube search of the Spider-Man segments on Electric Company. I know that show is out of our generation but I've seen a few of them and it was severely campy.

Comment: In japan they had a Spiderman series in the late 70's and ,the fact, that in the show he had a giant robot (Bandai wanted it) lead to the Super Sentai series using giant Robots.
