Comment: Okay, the deal with why Goofy can walk upright and Pluto being a simple hound is because Goofy is an anthropomorphic dog. That means he got human traits, as in being able to speak, walk on two legs, wear clothes etc. while Pluto is a normal dog. If you want you can look at it this "pseudo-science" way: In Disney's world, a lot of animals, not only monkeys, have evovled into a Homo Sapiens form but keeping there animal chariceristics. Goofy therefore is an evolved Homo Sapiens Canis, while Pluto is a classic Canis lupus familiaris. Hope this helped you.
