Comment: A lot of ignorant and flat-out stupid people in these comments. Sorry. It had to be said.
You have people saying that they hate this show, and won't say why. Of course they won't. They know they don't have a good reasons, and they're cowards.
Because at the risk of coming across as really confrontational, it needs to be said. If you hate South Park, you're one of two kinds of people:
1. Either too fucking stupid to understand the basic concept of satire in and of itself, or...
2. Too busy being ignorant, whiny and butt-hurt over something the show lampooned for you to be able to grow up and get over yourself and your overly-delicate prudishness.
There are no exceptions. I think a lot of these comments really sum up that incredibly stupid and whiny mentality towards it, despite not having a clue what they're talking about.
"crude and stupid humor?" Try brilliantly written and immensely intelligent satire that displays all of the world's ridiculous ignorance wrapped up in the blunt honesty of realism with the expertise of a pair of critical masterminds with their finger on the pulse of pop-psycology.
The reason people hate this show is because they're afraid of it. Deathly afraid of what it says, and deeply afraid of laughing at themselves before someone else does. Afraid of what it says about them. It is insanely funny and at the same time, pokes vicious holes with the sharpest of wit into people's self-righteous souls and perfectly holds up a mirror to our society that the weaker parts of this society is terrified and uncomfortable with looking at, reflected back at them.
The people who don't like South Park are the people that don't get it. And if you don't get it, you're the butt of the joke instead of being in on the joke. And if you are the butt of the joke, it's why you either hate it in spite of understanding that or because you know that.

Comment: I'm not a huge fan of South Park, but I do have to applaud Park and Stone for their often ability to make a valid point. That's why the Muslim fanatics who opposed to the Mohammed episode really got my goat. I guarantee a good portion of the show's watchers are Christians who have the ability to laugh at themselves. This was a great tribute. Well done, Stefan.

Comment: As a Canadian, I really hate Trey and Parker. I am sick and tired of Canada being made fun of in American Media and they go to far some times. And Im not a fan of overly crude or stupid humor.

Comment: first id like to point out according that the orgasmo trailer seemed to talk more about a sex themed super hero than a porn-star. also while i dont like SouthPark personally, i'll give em credit for telling the sensors to suck it.

Comment: I agree with you, they are the most daring in film and TV. It's pretty unfair when they revieve contraversy for making fun of some certain topics.
South Park by Day, BaseketBall by night. Sorry, I had to say that.

Comment: Truly these two are geniuses of satire. South park in my humble opinion is the greatst satire in history and it blows Family guy out of the water. I hate Family Guy because all they do is bash Conservatives every chance they get where South park is able to make fun of everyone and its humor almost always consists of out of place pop cultural jokes where South park makes them the central story of each episode. I have seen all 205 episodes of South park and have the first seven seasons and the movie on DVD. Here's hoping that B.S censorship of Mohammed will be stopped and South park still remains to be my favorite TV show of all time
