Comment: After seeing the movie for myself, I have to say Rapunzel is now one of my fave Disney Princesses - she's even barefoot for most of the movie

Comment: I love the soundtrack, including "when will my life beginn", because it really transports the monotony of Rapunzels life without being boring. But I agree that from all the songs it's the weakest. But I hate the endcredids song, too.
I soooo dig Rapunzel - it managed to place beside Beauty and the Beast on place one for all the fairy tale movies!

Comment: This movie was AWESOME... but I did like "The Princess & the Frog" better overall... mostly b/c I liked the music better, and Dr. Facilier... WOW... he's one of the best villains EVER!!!
So... my problems w/ Tangled:
1. Music overall was not memorable, and those two songs that "suck"
2. Lack of development/solid backstory for Mother Gothel... she was very villainous, but I felt she needed more depth, and explanation of how she aquired that tower... as it was not clear as to whether she was actually a witch or not...
3. WTF was up with the Chameleon?! Don't get me wrong... the character was great... but it was too crazy to get me to believe she somehow had a Chameleon in the middle of... Germany?... when Mother Gothel would never even let her go outside... so... a squirrel I would have believed... a Chameleon... throws my whole sense of the world into question...
4. Rapunzel felt just a little bland, and I didn't totally buy her character... but this one is nit-picky I guess... especially since I think Flynn was the main character, not her...
Good things about Tangled:
1. Flynn Rider being inspired by Errol Flynn
2. The "twist"/"tricky" ending
3. The animation, for while I will always prefer hand drawn... this was the best CGI I've seen yet in terms of style and quality (for a fully animated feature)
Hopefully, Disney will continue to produce great features, minus the annoying pop songs...

Comment: Okay, on new years eve, yep, I went to see this movie with my friend. And it was amazing. Though it isn't better than the Princess and the Frog, but it's still good. I did like many of the songs in this movie, and yes, even those two that you hate. I think they're good. Many of the characters are really good. Rapunzel is spunky, Flynn Rider, uh, go by his real name, is funny, Mother Gothel, or Gothel, actually cares only about herself, Pascal the chameleon is funny as well, just like The Chameleon from Tuff Puppy, Maximus is also funny, especially when he mimics a office tool, and the thugs are all hilarious. Tangled, uh, Rapunzel, is a really great movie, and it's worth it, and it makes up for the Princess and the Frog. And, you're right, it does feel like a 2D animated movie. Hopefully, the new Winnie The Pooh movie will be great and sucessful as well.

Comment: Actually, Gothel seems like a mix of a LOT of great past Disney villains...she's got the cunning of Jafar and Facilier, the vanity of the Queen, the I'm-able-to-fool-you-into-thinking-I'm-a-loving-person factor of Scar, Frollo and Ursula, and when it comes to evil she's about as subtle as Maleficent or Ratigan (she doesn't go around proclaiming her wickedness like they do but you can still tell she's a baddie pretty easily!)

Comment: @ Sara You're Absolutly Right! She Reminds More Of Ursula From The Little Mermaid, Frollo From HunchBack Of Notre Dame, and The Queen From Snow White And The Seven Dwarfs
