Comment: Actually, A.A. Milne wasn't primarily a children's author. He was an aspiring adult writer and wrote the stories about his son (who was actually named Christopher Robin and actually owned these stuffed animals), and in fact hated how Pooh had eventually taken over his whole reputation. You can read all about it here at cracked.com (second page, I just had to post the link to the whole list):

Comment: Despite not having Kath Soucie as Kanga and Peter Cullen as Eeyore, this movie was very good indeed. And John Cleese's narration was pretty good as well.

Comment: I love Winnie the Pooh! I never got to see the movie in theatres, but I'm SO getting a DVD of it when it comes out! And yeah, Kath Soucie really was MY favorite Kanga, too. Great vid, Hewy! PS, anyone else find it a little funny that Rabbit, one of the stuffiest cartoon characters of all time, is now voiced by the same guy that brought us SpongeBob, one of the silliest and most spontaneous cartoon characters of all time? Don't get me wrong, I adore Tom Kenny and think he's a brilliant voice actor and no doubt does a fantastic job as ol' Long Ears, but still, it's kinda funny.

Comment: To me it is a very good thing to see your appreciation for "Winnie the Pooh" and yet I am disappointed that you refuse to give credit to the director's of this film, Stephen Anderson and Don Hall, who were the director and head of story behind Disney's clever and heart-warming "Meet the Robinsons" which I remind you is NOT crap according to your review on the "Princess and the Frog".

Comment: Once again, I liked your review. Oh yes, Winnie the Pooh, I remember him from my childhood. I remember watching the 3 Winnie the Pooh shorts, just as shorts, not the Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh. The main TV series starring Pooh I remember is The New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh. It was a good television series. I have seen the movie Pooh’s Grand Adventure, and I have 2 sing along videos. Although I I’ve seen little of the Tigger Movie and Piglet’s big movie, and I haven’t seen Pooh’s Heffalump movie, I have decided to watch those movies. Now, as for the new Winnie the Pooh movie, I’ve seen it today. I must say it was fantastic! The story is defiantly a Winnie the Pooh story, but here, it was amazing! The songs are really good. Even though that song we heard in the trailer didn’t appear in this movie at all. But it was still amazing. I liked this review, I liked Winnie the Pooh ever since I was young, and I liked this movie. Okay, back in the spring of last year, I was re-watching the New Adventures of Winnie the Pooh and I was surfing the Internet, and one day, I discovered this movie. Ever since then, I’ve had my eyes set on it. For two reasons. One because it’s Winnie the Pooh, and two, it’s the second 2d (Hand-Drawn animated) film after the Princess and the Frog. In fact, we need to have more films like this in the future. Winnie the Pooh was awesome. And yes, I was aware of the fact that it opened on the same day as the last Harry Potter film. The result is the unfortunate fact that Pooh got slammed and Harry Potter was everywhere in the news. This amazing film you’ve review could end being one of the most ignored movie ever made. However, we’re not going to let that happen, as there is still time to act now. I’ve been trying to get the word spread out by going to some places and telling people about it. And I’ve spread it a little bit on some forums, and on my DA account. You can help, too. By the way, have you seen Winnie the Pooh trailers disguising themselves as Harry Potter trailers? I did. Now although this movie was shorter than many other films I’ve seen, it was still worth it. To tell you the truth, based on things I’ve read online, I was predicting that me and my family would be the only people in the theatres, but to my surprise, there were a lot of kids in the theatre where Pooh was playing, so maybe there’s still hope for Winnie the Pooh. I liked the review; hope people who watch it spread the word out even more.

Comment: If anyone here has yet to see "Winnie The Pooh" and are planning on it, GO SEE IT ASAP. It has been doing poorly financially, and movies that don't do well at the box-office tend to have shorter runs in theaters. It is a wonderful film, and it may not be in theaters an awful lot longer. PLEASE SEE IT!!!

Comment: Great review Hewy. I have been waiting to see this movie since I heard about it earlier this year. It is a shame that Disney put it on the same opening day as the new Harry Potter movie so it didn't open as well as it could have. Cars 2 made more money than it that day! :( I do plan on seeing it soon though :D
