Comment: i loved this series as a kid, i would read it every spring when it was rainy. my favorite series was the bbc one that used to play on YTV in canada. fuck the haters.
but someone told me it was all about Christianity and it ruined it for me. before it was just an awesome fantasy story, now its an allusion to a religion i have animosity and disgust towards. im not saying you cant be cristian.. i don't care that much, i just don't like crisianity as a whole.
i shouldn't mind this much... i mean since i don't believe the bible is like a fantasy story itself.. real events that have been embellished and translated over thousands of years until the truth is forgotten. but i do. sorry.

Comment: The Narnia books don't try to convince you to follow Christianity, so I don't consider them propoganda.

Comment: Glad everyone enjoyed! To answer a few questions here, I currently have no plans to look at "A Christmas Story." I know what people see in that movie, but for some reason it just never gelled with me. As for whether or not these films are propaganda, yes. Propaganda, by it's ase definition, is the spreading of an idea through a form of media. Although it gets the stigma of being labelled as dishonest, this isn't always so. Anyway, glad you enjoyed.

Comment: Agree w/you about the first movie being a very good adaptation... still don't like CGI Aslan, but otherwise very good...
Second one: CASPIAN WAY TO OLD... AND ROMANCE W/SUSAN CREEEEEEEPY!!! So book wins for me...
The third one sucks... sorry... it sucks... book is WAY better
I like the BBC thing!!! :)

Comment: Seeing how both the books and the films are good, if different, the real question is different: is this a Christian propaganda or not?

Comment: Episode turned out excellent Jaimetud! I admit I never saw Prince Caspian or V.o.t.D.T. even though I read them when I was in middle school. I think the second two books were not so enjoyable to me because of Caspian himself, I never cared for his character. After watching this episode, I think I might give the movies a try.

Comment: I saw all three movies in 2D, but that's because our local movie theater doesn't have the equipment to show 3D versions of movies. However, I am afraid I have to disagree with you on Prince Caspian since I found the movie to be mostly talking and less action, but I still found quite enjoyable. And like Jamietude, I to like to watch movies first then read the book.

Comment: Great episode guys! I'm glad to see that my title card is made to good use. Kayley, what did you think about it. In my opinion, I think what made the 3rd movie inferior than the last 2 is that it didn't have that, well, Disney magic. And one more thing, REDWALLLLLLLL!!!!

Comment: I think this is the best "From Pages to Pictures" yet. I haven't read the Narnia books and only saw the first film adaptation, but I thoroughly enjoyed the whole episode. More and more, these are starting to feel like actual television show episodes.

Comment: I'm quite impressed to see so much placed into a 30 min video. Kudos to that. As for me, I stopped my interest in the Narnia films after Prince Caspian. It just didn't feel as great as the first movie and I felt it was too close to Potter territory that was going on, let alone how "too" action packed Caspian was in my opinion. It just felt like a Hollywood movie with explosions and less of an adaptaion like.

Comment: I was introduced to this series through the BBC version. I was forced to read Lion Witch and Wardrobe for summer reading one year but I just pretended to read it since I didn't like summer reading. I did watch all 3 recent movies and I love them all. The newer version of the Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe is one of those movies where I've seen it so many times that I know all the lines. Don't tell my mother that I got her Dawn Treader for Christmas!

Comment: I'm mix with the franchise myself. I actually grew up with BBC version. Yes the special effects are really weak, and the battle scenes are horribly done. But I liked it. It followed the story very well and really went more in depth on the christian perspective. Of course, the BBC version was a TV series, so it had more time to flush things out. When I watched the first movie, I was bit disappointed because I felt it was too rushed. But once again, BBC had more time because it was TV series. The movie brought what it could and did it very well. However, say what you want, but I prefer the the White Witch in the BBC version then the movie. I do think the movie "Prince Caspian" is better then the book itself. I can't give my opinion to the "Voyage of the Dawn Treader" seeing that I haven't watched the movie yet. Either way, good episode. Looking forward for the next one. And you two make a good team :)
