Episode 2:
Face Nelson:
The King and I (Animated) Review
Face Nelson digs into Richard Rich's animated adaptation of Rodgers and Hammerstein's musical classic
The King and I.
Note: I realize that Radical Reviewer has made one of these. I made this before I was aware of that. Remarkably enough, some of our jokes are similar, but this was all unintentional and coincidence.

Comment: You're not the only one... so did I... and BTW... never see that other live action version of this story "Anna and the King" ... the only good thing about it... you get to see Draco Malfoy as a cute little kid... seriously... there is a 90's version of this same story, in which Tom Felton plays the character of Anna's son. It's very odd... especially if you see it after watching/knowing him as Draco Malfoy...
WORST TIME TO SING A SONG... EVER!!! Yeah... way to totally ignore the giant fire-breathing sea monster... that's smart...
I think people who make movies "For Kids" don't understand that we don't need a completely black, magical, Jafar-esque villain to have a good story that will engage kids... LAME!!!
I like how now they've got the Crown Prince loving one of his father's wives... yeah... FOR KIDS!!! Not at all like proxy incest... not at all... oh... wait... now Toptim is a servant girl... WTF IS GOING ON MOVIE?!
This movie does have the best useless padding scenes, though... let's chase the letter for a while!!! :)
Given the amount of bizarre magical weirdness they stuck in this film maybe they should call the Ghostbusters...
Wouldn't it be easier if he had just given the poor fat guy the heimlich maneveur?
This movie really does suck...

Comment: Great review! I also happen to know that Richard Rich, the director of this aBOMBination also directed "Fox and the Hound", "Black Cauldron", "Swan Princess" and "Trumpet of the Swan". He also produced the most-hated animated movie of 2010 "Alpha and Omega" (Like every kid's gonna know about the Latin alpahbet *sarcasm*)

Comment: Great review! Too bad this movie looks like it SUCKED! And is it just me, or does Anna's party gown remind anyone else of a pink version of Belle's dress from Beauty and the Beast?

Comment: I remember seeing it in theaters and hated it. Thank god I managed to see the original 50s film adaptation which is more superior than this Disney knock-off. Not to mention that it's madeby the same guy behind "Trumpet and the Swan and" "Alpha and Omega" which is another bad sign.

Comment: @Chris- In the original, there was a song titled "Whistle a Happy Tune" and if memory serves me right, the reason they sing it is so their trips doesn't seem so depressing. In the movie, they instead came up with this dumb excuse that's pretty much "Only a lack of doubt can destroy this seamonster I have created!" so when they sing that song, the seamonster dies. The reason they were singing it is because the teacher was trying to make the situation seem not-as-bad, which is stupid when a seamonster is attacking you!

Comment: Oh come on, Nelson! So what if I already reviewed this movie? You have a full right to review whatever you want! I'm not one of those who think that if someone has reviewed something, then it automatically becomes untouchable for the others. Besides, this was a great review :D Keep up the good work!

Comment: Another solid review. To be fair, there were no similar jokes between you and Rad. They both differed in tone, style, and the ciritcal points that were made. I won't go too far on who did a better a job, but I saw no similarities.
