Comment: Avatar.... for me is pretty overrated. The characters were bland, there is too much rip-off (Like the war cry is like Xena's) and the story is actually boring except on the final battle. And if people says that they get aware of the environment by this people, I must say that those are guys living in rocks. Didn't ferngully, pocahontas and Dance with Wolves gave us that message? But just because Avatar has pretty pictures we begin to care. BS. Is an ok movie.... But I think is overrated.

Comment: I know I already said this in your tribute, but everything about Avatar is Oscar worthy. It had a good story, memorable characters, believable acting, and strong yet subtle messages In my personal opinion, the music has as much importance to telling the story as the story itself. James Horner, whose music has been heard in several Don Bluth stories, does absolutely outstanding work on the soundtrack. I get chills everytime I hear the Avatar theme.

Comment: I thought the 12 years were totally worth the wait. Before it opened I was quite worried because the last time a director made a comeback after making the highest-grossing movie in history it was Lucas with The Phantom Menace, and look how THAT turned out. This is exactly how a blockbuster should be done - visually stunning, but with plenty of emotional and intellectual depth too. It could even be Cameron's best since T2. Watching masters like him put idiots like Michael Bay to shame will NEVER get old.
