Comment: I thought it was brilliantly, surprisingly (Jackson is one of my heroes but I found the book to be severely overrated). Granted it ain't perfect (Sarandon is indeed miscast, although I felt her character was necessary somewhat to the story, the screenplay is rather uneven and the score, although nice, does overpower a few scenes unnecessarily - and it didn't help that I had sit in the front row of the cinema, which I hate with a passion) but PJ's status as a technical master is very much evident here as it always is and he gets riveting turns out of Ronan, Tucci and (to a lesser extent) Wahlberg and Weisz. All the people who are saying this isn't worthy of him need to watch The Frighteners. This is one of the best films of '09.

Comment: No, I haven't read the book, though it seems that those who are fans of the book seem to dislike the film even more than I did.

Comment: Did you even read the book?
I didn't see the movie yet, I got to tell you that it is a very creepy book and made me feel uncomfortable at times. Like the bunker scene.
