Episode 35:
Vaulting: Joe's Apartment

Just when you think you've seen it all, a film comes along with Jerry O'Connell co-starring along singing and dancing cockroaches. One has to be that baked to make such a trashy masterpiece.

Warning! This episode has adult language and close-ups of bugs that might freak the meek.

Comment: To Joe: Preachy Science experiments + Remake Conquest of the Planet of the Apes + Seemingly copying the movie "Splice" = A Bomb in my opinion. Sure the movie has yet to be released, but I already have my doubts as it is. See my YouTube channel for my overall thoughts.

Comment: What did you expected for a film that's trashy and full of garbage? With trash, you get trash. Speaking of "Blue Sky" and relating to one of your other reviews, what did you think of their adaption of "Horton Hears a Who". I haven't seen the whole film yet, but from what i saw it was okay. The only problem was that Carry made Horton more like the Terrytoons character "Sidney the Elephant" (look up "Sick, Sick Sidney" on Dailymotion to see an example).

Comment: At least this movie well symbolized MTV in it's years prior to becoming the pop princess/boy band/reality-after-reality tripe that turned me away from them. I remember MTV really promoted the heck out of it, and in a lot of ways I think it was a precursor to B&B Do America. Nowadays it wouldn't be my first choice for a movie but it is rather edgy in my opinion, which is why I liked it at first. I just remember being very into sick humor during the time the movie was out in theaters, and I still was up until the movie Borat came out and that's when my love for gross out humor reached it's end.

Comment: To Devon: Well, they fit the mood of the music and while they have a fanbase, they are Mello Yello compared to Pepsi. And yeah, this was where Blue Sky Studios got its start. I did say Chris Wedge (founder and owner of Blue Sky) did the animation.

Comment: Love those new opening titles! But why are "Thief and the Cobbler" and "TRON" on there anyhow? This movie is also notorious for having CG cockroach effects done by Blue Sky Studios, the same company that would later go on to make the lovie "Ice Age"! Whodathunkit? Plus, at 20:54-20:58, is that the same guy who played the Big Lebowski (NOT the Dude!) in "The Big Lebowski"? IT IS!!!
