Comment: Wow, everybody's doing a drinking game. Maybe I'll do one, too, but with Coke of course (I'm 16), if that's OK with you, since you're the first person I've seen to play a drinking game with Coke. Oh, and nice review :)

Comment: Small Soldiers was one of my favorite movies as a kid, my brother and I collected the action figures they were also the last toys we ever bought at Toys R Us, a bit of trivia the Gorgonites (minus Archer) are voiced by the members of Spinal Tap and the Commando Elite (minus Chip) are voiced by actors from The Dirty Dozen, and I wish that the Commando Elite would've offed a few people.

Comment: In case anybody's wondering Phil Hartman was killed by a gunshot to the head while sleeping by his wife who later committed suicide after confessing to a neighbour and when the cops arrived.

Comment: To Graham: Well, that's not in every Joe Dante film. That rule only covers Gremlins 1 + 2, InnerSpace, and Small Soldiers. The Strange Creatures Rule is close to it though.

Comment: There's one rule of the drinking game you forgot: If a Joe Dante film has a tiny character, down the whole bottle.

Comment: Good film, I wish I got to see it at the Wexner when I had the chance. By the way, i was the one who did the unnamed Looney Tunes comment.

Comment: Looney Tunes was okay, but it would've been better if the Warner suit didn't put pressure on Dante, tell him what he shouldn't do with the characters, they keep getting the script rewrite with product placements and plugs, plus they focus a little too much with the less Looney live-actor heroes. Dante himself was not happy with the result. He just directed it in memory of his friend, Chuck. It's sorta considered a "black sheep" film. However, I did bring the DVD at the Wexner last year to have it autograph, as they were showing his films (exculding this Looney film) and was going to be there in one screening. Unfortuantly, he wasn't at the Gremilns screening, so it was nevered signed.

Comment: To MKNeed: Thanks, but Matinee is one I feel that is too precious to do. Maybe down the road, but not sure. As for Looney Tunes, I'll give it some thought. To larry: It sucks I can't use it in IE8. That very much explains my feelings.

Comment: Awesome review, if it's more Joe Dante films you're looking for, I personally recommend other films he also did like, Matinee, starring John Goodman and Looney Tunes Back in Action!

Comment: Excellent show. I myself would consider this film to be enjoyable. It's like a family film for older families.

Comment: To Devon: I wouldn't say harsh. It's a basic opinon. I just don't see the point in having another Apes reboot/remake. I know it's months till this is released, but I just don't feel like it will live up to the original five.

Comment: Nice look at "Small Soldiers", AKA: Toy Story on steroids. BTW, Frank Langella was also in "Dracula" (1979) Did you know that? Also, not to be rude, but what's with calling "Rise of the Planet of the Apes" a pointless reboot? Isn't that a little harsh?
