Comment: Will you be doing a Christmas version too? That would be awesome! I think you also forgot some games like Resident Evil and Super Metroid. Even though they're not Halloween games, they definately have the feel to it of being spooky.

Comment: To Andrew: I felt #1 was more remembered with the nostalgic community. While #2 does have a strong following, its very underrated these days as its rarely seen these days. On the plus, at least it got a high spot.

Comment: Great Top 13 list, and the Fact that my favorite Halloween movie is Hocus Pocus, it might be needing of the number 1 Spot.

Comment: Also, about Scrappy, Mark Eviner (Garfield) based the character's personality on the Looney Tune character, Henry Hawk and I consider him a chicken hawk in a dog suit. I do think Lenny did his voice better than Don. It could of been worse; he could've had Slevester Jr.'s personality. As much as I like the puddy tat's son, it would really get old before the Scooby show ends if the pup spent the whole time lamenting his cowardly uncle and were a paper sack on his head.

Comment: #13: Yeah! Vincent Price FTW! #12: YES! Simpsons "Treehouse of Horror" episodes! Classics! #11: Never saw that. #10: Never watched Goosebumps. #9: I loved watching Angry Beavers! #8: Ya know it's funny that Lorenzo Music voiced both Garfield and Peter Venkman in The Real Ghostbusters. Bill Murray played Venkman in the original Ghostbusters and voiced Garfield in the Garfield movie. Oh the irony. #7: Never heard of it. #6: I've heard of it, but haven't seen it. #5: The KING of Halloween specials! #4: WOOOHOOO!!! MEGA-AWESOME-CLASSIC! The only movie I can think of that can be watched during two different holidays. The story is great, the animation is great, the music and songs are great; It's just GREAT! #3: Never saw that. #2: Interesting choice. #1: Never saw it.

Comment: I liked the first two "Real Ghostbusters" Halloween specials, featuring Samhain, but "The Halloween Door" was good too. I never saw "Hocus Pocus" from beginning to end, so I guess I'll give it a watch for curiosity's sake. Great list, and Happy Halloween!!

Comment: 13. Not my favorite Scooby Doo series, but it does win major awesome points for having VINCENT PRICE as one of the major characters. 12. Not a big Simpsons fan, but I do enjoy the classic Halloween specials, especially the Raven (if only for James Earl Jones). 11. I always loved Doug as a young girl (yes I am different and not afraid to admit it) and I remember the Halloween episode fondly. 10. I FUCKING HATE GOOSEBUMPS!!!! 9. Not a big fan of Angry Beavers, not a big fan of this special. 8. I love Garfield...not so big a fan of Ghostbusters. 7. Not familiar with this one. 6. Again, not familiar with it. 5. Totally my favorite Halloween special!!! 4. HELL YEAH!!!!! 3. I LOVE DISNEY!!! 2. I remember this one...pretty cool. 1. Not a huge fan of this movie, but I guess it makes sense to put it at #1. Great review, Morgan! Happy Halloween.

Comment: Thank you for puting in disney's halloween treat on the list. Did you know that the person who plays the magic mirror is the same guy who plays captian hook. Why did you not put in disney's legend of sleepy hallow on the list.

Comment: A great list, Morgan. Most of the specials I knew about during my childhood, but there were few I haven't seen, like Halloween Tree. One note worth mentioning about the Disney Halloween specials: There were actually 2 hosts in 'A Disney Halloween'. One was a narrator, who I swear could make Don LaFontaine sound like Jerry Lewis. The narrator was quite possibly the best voice during that special and would make any humorous Disney moment seem scary as hell. What made it even creepier was when he was narrating the Great Cat Family segment, where we see how black cats were considered creepy during the Halloween season. Still, the list was great. Now I feel like watching them again on Halloween. =D

Comment: @steph Wow, really? Did you not read the title? Did you not understand the factor of this list? The title is CHILDHOOD CLASSICS, not MODERN BULLSHIT. The list was about old classic Halloween specials that we grew up with during the 80s and 90s. I don't know what childhood you had, but it sure as hell wasn't the same as what we grew up with. Winx Club... are you f===ing for real?
