Comment: To Keshia: I thought he seemed familar. As for Launchpad, I saw little of DuckTails and Darkwing Duck as a kid. But they look great

Comment: Nice review guys. Did you ever notice that the guy complaning about Mum and Ralph looks a lot like Beaker from the Muppets? And Rod kind of reminds me of Launchpad from "Ducktales and Darkwing Duck."

Comment: To becca: This one happeneds to be a fan-edit I did two years ago. It was an effort to bring it close to the original cut that was seen back in 1983. The version fans are more assoicated it. I honestly prefer that over the "kid-sanitized cut" for two reasons. One, it makes this contrast of dreams vs. reality, with the Murk being cruel and harsh while Frivoli is light and G-rated. Two, the VHS edit that is currently circulating about is missing some stuff that hampers the story and continuity. On first watch of the edited version, one can feel that something is missing.

Comment: To Final Fantasy fan: No. Never heard of it till now. To Qan and Weirdproq: It doesn't seem Pixar-ish. The concept is creative, but it's not my cup of tea and there are too many things that I greatly question about this world of cars. With Monsters Inc, the characters were relatable and you knew how the world worked. With Cars, there were too many things left open for you to think about, like kids, breeding, how could such a thing exist, and where is this being set. Also, the merchindising was so heavy handed that it was more focused on then the movie when it was released. I don't mind a toy here and there, but this was "in your face" everywhere. Aside from that, the movie was ok but not great as Finding Nemo or Toy Story. Still, not every studio is going to crank out a non-stop hit and there are some critics who different tastes. Opinons are opinions and if you don't like what I have to say, I'm fine with that. We have different tastes for different cinema. Not everyone is going to agree with Titanic or The Dark Knight now and then,
